The song spent 12 weeks in the top 2 spots of the Billboard Hot 100, making it Coolio’s most successful single to date. The song borrows its air and some lyrics from Stevie Wonder’s “ Pastime Paradise ”. Coolio andL.V. performed the song live alongside Wonder at the Billboard Awards 1995.
